High-Speed Six-Colour Printing

The Epson SureColor S8170 is designed for production environments
where speed and print quality are equally important.

Its six-colour ink set includes Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black,
Light Cyan and Light Magenta. The addition of Light Cyan and Light Magenta
helps produce smoother tonal transitions and reduce visible graininess and
banding in gradients, photographs, skin tones and other detailed graphics.

Efficient High-Capacity Ink System

The SureColor S8170 uses Epson ink packs available in
800 mL and 1,500 mL sizes.

Compatible ink-pack sizes can be mixed and matched based on colour usage.
Hot-swap technology automatically switches from an empty pack to another
available pack during printing, helping reduce interruptions during longer
production jobs.

Same-Day Lamination Capability

Epson UltraChrome GS3 solvent inks offer fast drying times and may support
lamination approximately six hours after printing when used under suitable
environmental conditions with compatible media and laminates.

Actual drying and lamination times may vary depending on ink coverage,
print settings, media, laminate and environmental conditions.

Reliable Production Technology

The S8170 features a precise media-feed and tension mechanism designed to
maintain stable media movement and accurate printing across compatible
substrates such as vinyl, banner, canvas and paper.

Nozzle Verification Technology monitors printhead performance,
while an integrated temperature sensor helps support consistent colour
across repeat jobs and multi-panel applications.

The user-replaceable printhead can also help reduce production delays by
allowing qualified operators to replace the printhead when required.
